If you guys want to be respected by anybody in the music/entertainment business, or even just in your everyday lives, you need to treat those around you with respect. A lot of photographers don’t watermark their photos to allow people to see the moment the way they did, without distractions. We just don’t necessarily want to detract from our images with text. I used to watermark photos because they were used by bands, and I still do in some cases, but I would so rather people just toss in a link to my site below the shot. Also, you’re violating Creative Commons Copyrights in most cases by posting photos without credit. Just FYI, Creative Commons licensing is about the best thing to happen to photo legality in the age of the internet. For most photos, you don’t even need to  tell the photographer you’re using his or her picture (though it is nice to let us know,) you can just throw it on your site and toss in a little “photo by john doe” or “photo: johndoephoto.com” and you’re covered. Everybody is happy and you don’t look like a 14 year old with no respect for the work people put in to taking the photos you put on your fan site. Really, I’m not trying to be mean here, but I want you to see that what you’re doing hurts photographers’ ability to keep providing you with free images. These are FREE for you, as long as you give credit where credit is do.

Plagiarism is pathetic, either create your own content or respect the efforts of those who do it for you.

edit: turns out posting third party images without express written consent is not only a violation of CC licensing, it also violates the Tumblr terms of service! If you guys continue to post images without credit you’ll be receiving takedown notices from Tumblr, and may have your account terminated.
